The November 19, 2007 Edition is now up at SEO ROI. It got up a bit late so I haven’t had time to review, but I’ll post some of my favorites and a discussion later this week.
UPDATE ADDED
Noteworthy content coming out of this weeks CotC:
- The Venerable Blog Gets a Facelift
This was a clickthrough piece I found from Anita Campbell. I like that she is paying attention to the new blog designs, and I do agree that they make huge leaps on the old designs. I have found myself reshaping mine slightly every day—always a work in progress! - New Blog Layouts Increase Page Views and Conversions
This is a follow-up to the above discussion by Anita Campbell, but it’s on her own site. It’s nice for people to start recognizing that less is more. I feel like I am constantly asking myself how I can do more with less, and editing everything I do with a heavy hand. It isn’t always easy, but it is important. - 7 Ways to Keep the Post-Conference Buzz
I think these seven points are great, and useful not only for conferences but for any networking meetings. I have always pushed follow-up after meetings, and I think this article does a great job of going a few steps further. - Green Marketing
This article contains some wonderful ideas about stretching your marketing power by going green. "Green" isn’t always easy, but with out of the box thinking like this, we’ll make giant leaps towards a greener world. - Trust-based Selling® in the Real World
and
Greed in the Social Networking Space
I really like Charles H. Green’s blog. Trust seems like such a simple concept: Be trustworthy, and your customers will be loyal. And yet, so many businesses miss the boat on this one with marketing and sales tactics designed to trick and deceive. Maybe they should start reading the Trust Matters blog—they could learn a few things! - Achievement: Chasing the Big Score
Isn’t never settling for what you have the actual description of an entrepreneur? I do see what David B. Bohl is saying though. To apply this logic practically, focus on what is at hand before continuing on to the next product/service/release. If you can learn to stick with one thing through it’s entirety, you can learn to maximize your returns on that project!
