		<description>I&#039;ve actually been trying that one -- e-mailing people to tell them when I was going to respond to something. And you&#039;re right, it is relationship-building and trust-inspiring! And it allows me to schedule it without offending any of my clients.</description>

A thought to resolve the dilemma?  If you respond to calls and emails quickly, you are in the position to proactively suggest the scheduling of your work calendar--not just the scheduling of your email.  It&#039;s a case of being responsive giving you much more control over the bigger stuff.
Or so it seems to me.
